This magnificent original painting of mine is of the Salmon Leap in Cenarth,on the outskirts of Cardigan South West Wales

This water fall on the River Teifi is called "The Salmon Leap", as salmon making their way up the Teifi

find their progress upstream blocked by the obstacle,they jump the rocky barrier in spectacular fashion.

The river foams brilliant white at this point,which produced the local expression "White as the Cenarth Falls" to describe the fleeces

produced by coracle - borne local farmers who washed their sheep in the river below the cataract.

This painting will long be valued as a National heirloom
